Equipped with a Post-Master’s Advanced Certificate in Adolescent Mathematics from Pace University, along with a Master of Science in Computer Science from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Iona University with honors, I specialize in helping students excel in mathematics in school and on standardized tests.
With over seven years of tutoring experience, I have taught subjects ranging from algebra to calculus. I also have extensive experience preparing students for the math portions of standardized tests, including high school entrance exams (SSAT, SHSAT, ISEE, HSPT, TACHS), and college entrance exams (SAT, ACT, ACCUPLACER, TASC).
My experience teaching math in a school setting, including college, community college, high school, and middle school, combined with my professional background in software engineering, have resulted in a problem-solving teaching style that enables me to involve students in the process of defining a problem, analyzing it, and brainstorming solutions.
